Closer to Home
My current body of work is about the Torndirrup Peninsula where I have lived with my family since 2012. Ash, together with clay gifted by neighbours, forms the basis of my ceramic work using local materials to reflect the inherent qualities of the Albany/Kinjarling landscape contained within them.
These vessels have been paired with familiar and favourite objects and plant cuttings, bringing the comforts of being closer to home into my recent still life paintings.
